Luxor, once an Ancient Egyptian capital, is known today as the world's "greatest open-air museum." From the tomb of Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings and the marvelous view at the majestic temple complexes of Karnak to the exhilarating Nile cruise, Luxor is the perfect choice for culture vultures. Accompanied by a private guide, you will be taken to the following archaeological sites:

● Valley of the Kings
Situated on the ancient site of Thebes, on Luxor's West Bank, the Valley of Kings is the ancient burial hall of many of Egypt's New Kingdom rulers. The Valley of Kings has several tombs of many pharaohs and nobles. The tombs are of kings belonging to the New Kingdom and have been designed and decorated exquisitely. The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile and comprises two valleys, east, and West. The majority of the royal tombs are located in the East Valley.

● The Karnak Temple Complex (The largest temple complex in the world)
The Karnak temple is the largest venue of worship ever built, to be more accurate, it is a complex of temples built in more than 200 years by various generations of Pharaohs. Within the complex, you can admire the great “Hypostyle Hall” which is an unbelievable fort of gigantic pillars. Around thirty different Pharaohs contributed to the construction process of this structure, enabling it to reach a magnitude, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere.

● The Colossi of Memnon
On your way to visit the West Bank of Luxor, you will come across the two giant statues renowned as the Colossi of Memnon. Each colossus is about 21 meters tall and exemplifies King Amenhotep III seated on his throne.

● Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir El Bahary)
This majestic temple is dedicated to the only female pharaoh in Egypt in Pharaonic history. It is Located underneath massive cliffs near the west bank of the Nile. The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as Deir El Bahary, is dedicated to Amon Ra, the sun god. Hatshepsut was a ruler loved by her people but always surrounded by controversy.
