Description

Not to be missed during your vacation is a tour to the Temple of Osireion at Abydos. It was momentous in historical times as the major cult Centre of Osiris, the lord of the underworld. It was the burial hall for the first kings of a unified Ancient Egypt.

You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel, for the transfer by luxury air-conditioned vehicle to the ancient city of Abydos. Following your arrival in Abydos, with your own private Egyptologist guide to lead the way, you'll see Abydos’s most renowned attractions.

You will see this unique L-shaped temple which was in the service of seven Gods of Ancient Egypt. Osiris, Isis, Horus, Amon Ra, Ptah, Ra Horakhty, and the idolized Seti are each assigned a mausoleum and a hall in which you can find out well preserved ancient writings and art.

See the antiquarian ruins at Abydos: the Temple of Seti I. In a wonderful spectacular location sits the enormous temple, constructed by Seti I. He was one of the greatest Egyptian rulers and builders; he constructed one of the most astounding temples at Abydos and the Great Hypostyle Hall in Karnak.

Explore the enthralling past of Egypt as you take a tour around the temple. The artwork and architecture commissioned during Seti’s rule are truly rich, no expense was spared and attention to detail is apparent. Unfortunately, he died before his temple was finished, and it was completed by his son Ramses II. The temple includes also a royal palace and a sanctuary of Ramses I.

After sightseeing in Abydos, you will be dropped back at your hotel.
