● Visit the highlights of Cairo, the world-famous pyramids of Giza, and the impressive Sphinx
The pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos all go back to the ingenious builder Imhotep and were among the Seven Wonders of the World. The three gigantic pyramids that make up the Giza pyramid complex are striking and bold under the blazing Egyptian sun and must be seen firsthand to be properly appreciated. Since it is known that the pyramids were built around 2600 to 2500 BC. It is all the more astonishing that these 3 pyramids could be built so high up without the help of wheeled carts or pulleys (as the Egyptians did not know the wheel at that time). The construction of the three pyramids arguably raises most of the questions. There are no references or records to the building of the pyramids. Researchers have several explanations: Either the Egyptians didn't need plans because they had enough experience building pyramids. Or it is a project that was subject to confidentiality. Other sources state that the ancient Egyptians must have kept detailed records for such an enormous construction project. They are said to have been destroyed in the fire at the Alexandria library. None of the variants can be confirmed and archaeologists will probably have to puzzle forever about the whereabouts of the plans.

● Visit Memphis
Since the beginning of the annals and lists of kings, which were more or less systematically recorded by the Egyptians themselves (from around 3000 BC), the residence has been the city of Memphis. Legend has it that Memphis was founded by King Menes in 3000 BC. The city was at the mouth of the Nile Delta. During the Old Kingdom, Memphis was the capital of Egypt. As the gateway to the fertile Nile Delta, Memphis is strategically important and extremely important for supplying the population. The temple of Ptah was in the center of the city. The temple is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the Old Kingdom. Memphis remained an important economic and cultural center until the founding of Alexandria and Al Fustat (present-day Cairo).

● A visit to the Sakkarah pyramid complex is worth it
Saqqara is located on the Nile south of Cairo and served as a cemetery for the capital of the Memphis Empire in Pharaonic times. The Saqqara necropolis is one of the largest and longest-used necropolises in ancient Egypt. Around 5,000 years ago, kings and dignitaries were buried here in tombs and pyramids. The attraction, which is popular with visitors to Egypt, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is also the famous 5,000-year-old step pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. The city of the dead later served as a burial place for high-ranking priests and officials. Grave goods such as a silver death mask and inscriptions on the sarcophagi give valuable insights into the faith and life of that time. A famous step pyramid is an unmissable place for anyone interested in history or archeology, or who always wanted to visit the pyramids as a child. The Sakkara pyramid complex serves as the burial place of the Pharaoh Djoser, the pyramid itself is considered to be the first to be built in the world. It is also a global pioneer as a stone construction.
