During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will learn the practical and theoretical basics of scuba diving. In the end, you will receive the internationally recognized Open Water Diver diving license.

During the diving course, you will complete swimming pool models and dive theory, followed by four dives at some of the best diving spots in the Red Sea.

Everyone in good health, reasonably fit, and able to swim can take this diving course. During your diving course, you will be tested for fitness for swimming and fill out some forms, which is a good way on way to your diving license.

As an Open Water Diver, you can go diving independently with a partner. Your instructor will explain all aspects of diving theory and will answer any questions you may have.

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn the basics of scuba diving. You start in shallow water or the pool and then train in open water, in the slightly deeper area, while at the same time you get the necessary background knowledge. The PADI Open Water Diver license (the diving license) has unlimited validity.

Course duration: 3 days, 4 dives

- Diving course program:
Diving course day 1 - diving theory 1-3, exercises in limited open water (pool)

Diving course day 2 - open water dives 1 + 2 with exercises up to max. 12 m, diving theory 4-5

Diving course day 3 - open water dives 3 + 4 with exercises up to max. 18 meters, theory completion with test and certification.

Additional Info

  • Duration: 3 days
  • Description: Combining diving theory, skills training, and open water diving.
  • Recommended depth: You will be qualified to a depth of 18m and able to dive with a buddy independently.
  • International Certificate: After completing your course you will receive an international diving certificate which will allow you to dive all around the world.
  • Basic scuba gear: Mask, exposure suit, scuba unit (the underwater breathing apparatus), dive computer, weight system, and fins
  • Minimum age: From 10 years old.
  • Children aged 10 and 11 can earn the PADI Jr Open Water Diver certification, diving to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet with a PADI Professional or a certified parent/guardian.
  • Children aged 12 to 14 can also be Jr Open Water Diver certified, to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet with any adult certified diver.
